women's shoes sizes question

ok, here is a question for my wife in regards to buying shoes online for her mom.

looking at shoe size width, there is 2E and 4E, does anyone know the actual number in inches (or cm) on how wide these sizes are.

my wife emailed a few shoe comapnies but just get back the typical cut and paste response.

the stores aorund here do not have that wide of a shoe and they did not know.

was hoping maybe some fte member's wives or some of the ladies on fte could know.

I have big feet ~ I wear a size 10 EE and my foot is 4 inches wide. Hope this helps?!?!?!?

do you know the inch difference between the 2e and 3e?

anyway it does help, at least we have a number to go by now, her mom needs 13cm wide. so i am guessing maybe 4e?

It depends on overall shoe size. Do you know that? How long is her foot?

her foot is 26cm long and wears shoes size 27cm, which is 10.5 or 11 in shoe size i think, depending on the type of shoe.

A 10 1/2 EE is 11 1/2 cm wide~

An 11 EE is 12 cm wide~

So, if she needs 13cm wide, I would go for the EEE.

How about strapping a couple of tennis rackets to her feet.

One size fits all.

They would work great in the snow, AND would come in handy for a quick game of tennis.
