New user, 4X4 problem
Happy Thanksgiving to all . I love my Ford Super Dutys, diesel 4X4 . I have a 2001 F-250 4 door 6 foot box 4X4 7.3 liter and a 2005 F-350 super cab 8 foot box 4X4 6.0 liter. Ford trucks have been very good to me over the years . Too the point, my 2001 has a 4 wheel drive problem . It has elec shift , it would not go into 4 wheel drive so I toke the transfer case motor off and I could shift it with a wrench manualy and there was no binding, the motor would move when I turned to 4 high . the motor seemed weak so I replaced the motor, the new motor came in the 4 high position so I shifted the transfer case to 4 high manualy and installed the new motor , drove it in the back field seemed fine (2inch of snow last night) when I shifted it back to 2 wheel it shifted fine , but back to square one, it would not go back into 4 high. Any ideals?
