transmission filter pic's

hi there you helpful lot !

would anyone have a diagram or instructions on changing the auto trans filter ??

Make sure you get the correct one. The filter neck length is slightly longer for the 4wd vs the 2wd version. The filter just pulls off, and the new one pushes on the tube. Here's a link to some pics...

But the filter o-ring often stays in the bore. You MUST remove it.

I found two o-rings in addition to the one on the filter of a friends truck .... need I say he was having transmission problems. Make sure to look up in the hole for more of them.
