Tires off the ground, full tank of gas and a fresh oil change and wax?
Battery hooked up with a Battery Minder?
Note not a Battery Tender as they will dry up a battery in under two months
wasting a good battery.
Again man needs a 5 car garage minimum your proof.
Thats why I drive mine Year Round! Lucky for the folks around me too - when the snow is building up, the old 69 Ford is the one pulling them out of the drifts!
Have a Great T-Day!
George
It must be a laugh pulling new plastic chebbies out.

Is it parked on concrete..or dirt?
Concrete is best, the dirt will cause rust to form on the frame rails. Painted on both sides 1" plywood is better than nothing.
hey Bill not to worry its on concrete!! with plenty of ventalation. about 10 years ago my mom and step dad sold the cows, now after they cleaned the barn out its a winter home for the 71 and the wifes mint s-10

You probably know this, but I heard it is bad to store a battery on a concrete floor, You can rest it on a couple of 2x4s and it will be ok. Good job taking care of your truck. Thanks for posting this so people can learn how to store a vehicle for the winter. Happy Thanksgiving.
I have a 71 that I would like to put away permanently. It is a nice old truck without a doubt. It pretty much needs nothing but SUPERMAN to drive it. No power or air and it is very difficult to drive....parallel parking anywhere is out of the question. I am fortunate, I see it every day....lol.....It is nice enough that at this time it is kept in the garage......!
Hey Nomadic,
I have the same issues of now power steering, power brakes or AC. I am going to put in a power steering box and pump from a dentside, which I heard will work. There are after market AC from places like Vintage Air.
Here is a question about storing a vehicle, do you have to do anything special for the AC while storing it?
Hey Nomadic and Fastmover,
Take a look at the ac units for 50's and newer at NOSTALGIC AIR PARTS only $ 850.00 and uses the heating system on the truck as well as a choise of defrost or not. It's good for a look since vintage air wants $1025.00 and as far as I saw only has the under the dash unit. My 72 will need air, I plan to use it daily after paint.
