Portable GPS for truck. Which one?

Alright guys and gals I need some help. I am going to get my parents a GPS for Christmas. I want one that they can take back and forth between there vehicles. I thought it was going to be easy. I started looking for some deals for this weekend and there is a ton of these things and they all seem like the same thing. So what is yalls opinion on a good one to look at or just some to stay away from. I know everyone will have a different opinion but it would help me out a lot. Thanks.

Wife has a Nuvi 660 and loves it. It takes some time to get used to but the display is bright even in the Arizona sun...

I just remember where I am going...

I have the Quest 2 which I like but had they had the Nuvi out at that time I would have gone for the Nuvi. I thought I'd use the mobility and water resistance of the Quest 2 more but it just stays in the truck. I ordered another car set so we can take it in other vehicles. I love GPS. Costco online has the best deals by far, or if you have a Costco near you they may have one you like. They are not limited in the return policy so you can always return it if you don't like it. Just keep the box and stuff.

Do you have to pay for service, or is it just stored maps in the unit?

For Garmin you have to pay 50.00 to download updated maps, which depends on how many new areas of developement you travel to, so figure every few years you may want to download the updates, I haven't yet but I have the software installed. They also have a subscription feature as do all GPS where you get up to the minute traffic reports based on other GPS units in the area.

I don't own one yet, but I'm looking. So far, I've heard that Garmin is the best. I'm still researching though.

Where did you get it for that price at?.

Thanks for yalls help. I am now trying to decide between the street pilots or the Nuvis. I keep watching amazon and they keep reducing the prices on both of them for Christmas. So I'm not sure. I have read reviews out the ying yang though and still cant deiced.

I actually bought it on Ebay...it's a factory refurbished one...guaranteed by Garmin for 1 year...complete with all accessories. My buddy bought the exact same unit from the same seller about a month ago...no issues. If refurbished isn't for you...Cabelas has the unit advertised for $199.99 plus shipping. New ones are going on Ebay for $225 +/-.

I understand the review thing...I'm looking for a flat screen tv...the more research I do...the more confused I get...LCD...Plasma...DLP... ...but...that's in another thread!!!
