been in garage last three hours changing fuel pump .how do you guys pull the pump out.ive read you have to be careful or else the bottom of the pump can drop into the motor? i could really use some sugggestions! thanks

Once you have the bolts out that hold the pump in,, either turn the motor over by had or bump it from the solenoid, untill you see it trying to come up... the cam will be in the best position to not loose the tappet......
Also, you may have to pry it by getting something beneath the mounting tabs as well as wiggle & twisting. Once it's clear of the O-ring it can be lifted right out. Do it slowly and you will see the bottom plunger that rides on a cam lobe and then you can assist both of them out together.
