I love my backup sensors, but I have a little question. Has anyone rewired the switch so it will stay off until you press it again. I am getting a snow plow and just remembered what a pain they are when it snows, and considering all the backing to plow snow I would like to be able to just turn the sensors off until I want to turn them back on.
ill give you bump to the top. im sure you can shut off the backup circuit. just need a schematic, to see where you can cut the line that powers up the sensors.
I know this is absolutely no help at all but in the least, it will be humorous. I had the same problem plowing last year and I got so mad after being up for 40 hours at the stupid sensor always beeping that I just kept pressing it out of frustration and exhaustion that it now operates the way you want it to. I have played with it a few times and to be honest, I actually think I broke it. But for me that is ok. It was nice to have here and there but overall I hated it. So I removed my switch and routed my DP f5 switch to where the button "Used" to be (Now its zip tied up behind the dash).

That is what I dont want to happen to me!! LOL. I just picked up my plow tonight so let it snow!!!
Does anyone have a way of finding out the wiring on the sensor switch. I would think I could disable it from turning back on when taken out of reverse.
