i would have used an adaptor but the guy before me ripped the radio out before and all the wires were cut

the one time i had that happen to me, the radio in a ford vehicle was stolen, i went to a junkyard and got the ford harness and matched that up and than used an adapter on the sftermarket receiver.

maybe this would be the way you should go.

You might be further ahead to hit a junkyard and cut the plugs out of another Ford vehicle. They used the same plugs from like 87 up to 96 I believe on most models.

It should wire like this, I hope you did not blow something with the orange/black wire on a speaker wire.

wires are set up to how you posted. still no sound. what should i do next. i made sure every wire was properly connected and all fuses are ok. i dont hear any sound at all coming from the speakers

Did you plug in the antenna cable in the back of the radio?
Also did you check to see if there are any speakers installed, they may have removed them too.
Check each speaker wire combo with a 1.5 Volt battery to see if they work.

checked every speaker. they all work. the sony is brand new and all fuses are in working order. i hate this game

The easiest thing to do is just go to a car sterio place and get an adapter that plugs right into the old harness. its got all the standard colors coming out the back.

i dont got the old harness. should i just get a old harness at a junk yard hook that up then buy the adaptor? i dont see why it isnt working though. could i have boughten a broken head unit? im trying to find some1 a sony and see if theirs works in mine

i dont got a reset switch there. i think i posted the wrong radio up. the model number of mine is CDX-GT11W
