<hr style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> I seem to have developed a pretty bad driveline vibration and at cruising speeds of 45-65. If I am on the gas, it is really bad. If I get above 65, it goes away. I know its not the tires being unbalanced, because I did that last week. It seems to be getting progressively worse. Any ideas on where to look/what to look at? Btw it is a 90 5.0 4x4 with the overdrive automatic tranny.

Things to look at: Bent wheel, broken rear spring, out of round driveshaft, bad u-joints, scored slip yoke.
U-joints or more likly the carden joint. Dont run to long. I drove 400 miles and in the last fifteen the carden joint ripped out the side. Ez to check. Put truck in newtral. Crawl under and shake the driveshaft. If you can move the carden joint sideways or up and down, it's shot.
If you can't move the driveline in neutral, then put the rig up on jack stands. (all 4 wheels). Put it in 4x4 hi, and put it in gear. watch all the tires and wheels spin (watch each one independantly). Pay close attention and look for any kind of wobble or up and down movement that would indicate a bent wheel. I have one on my Jeep right now and it's doing exactly as you state, at the speeds you state.
