Heater Blower blows fuse

I just got a 1986 Ford F150..when I turn on the heater blower the 30 amp fuse blows immediately....where do I start to figure this out??

How about electrically disconnecting the blower fan and trying it.....if it doesn't blow it is the blower motor....if it still blows possibly a wire chaffed thru and touching ground......my bet is on the blower motor.
