On a trip East (3000 mi+) trip truck powered down to limp mode twice ;not letting truck go over 30-35 mph and 3rd gear only (manual 6sp). Next morning started, but changed fuel filters anyway; truck drove 2700 miles then powered down once more. RPM's were erratic bouncing between 800 to 2800 with pedal to floor. Changed filter again and truck turned, but would not fire. Cranked motor to see if filter housing over motor filled with fuel and then checked rail mounted pump, neither pulled any fuel from tank. Dropped tank and checked screen on in tank hose/inspected tank for any unusual gunk (screen & tank clean). Any suggestions as to what is going on before she's heads to the dealership..

If you don't have any fuel in either filter then your fuel pump has taken a dump. If it's still under 5 yr. warranty then the fuel pump is covered by the engine warranty--$100 ded.

When ignition is on pump sounds as though it is running and also to the touch. Could it still have given out?
