03-04 No Start
My 04 F-550 136,000 would'nt start when hot. Run it for hours let it sit no start. Brought it to Ford it wouldn't do it for them. They tell me it won't do it. After towing it to them twice i said screw them.
They said it is probably the quick connect fitting on the pump. I saw the huei pumps on the 05+. I took the top of my engine apart. 03-04 have a completely different pump set up!!!!! no quick connect fitting a pipe!
So I changed the huei and found the high pressure regulator located under the turbo the tip blew off was just dumping oil into the motor. OK put motor together starts no problem. Except for a hiss!MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE INTAKE GASKETS ON THE RIGHT WAY!! F**K!!
Couple days later now the truck won't start cold. 35 outside. truck is misfiring. i wack the injection control module the truck starts and shuts off. $700 for that.now the truck runs.
stupid stuff like this make me look at the 5500 series DODGE CUMMINS NOW!!
so if your truck is acting up thats a couple more things. my truck is driven and idiling 10+ hours a day.
