ford noob question

im a noob to ford trucks but my fathers truck is a 93 f250 5.8L with the e4od with the deep pan i just replaced the gasket and filter because of it leaking iv added 10 quarts of transmission fluid and its still not showing on the dipstick i know theres no problem with the dipstick but anyways how much fluid does this animal take?

Welcome!

Those automatic transmissions can take a lot of quarts. You are close and only need to add a couple more to get it on the stick.

You're lookin' at 12-15 quarts. Make sure to check it with the truck running and the transmission in neutral.

I just did a fluid change on my 95 F250 with the E4OD, I had to pour 16 quarts into it.
