another ebpv question
I know there have been alot of questions about the EBPV, and I've read all of the posts involving them, I still have a couple questions though. First off, I have a 1997 F350 PSD and a 2000 E 350 van PSD. My question is, if I start the 97 F350, and its cold, the only way I hear the EBPV is if I drive it, it sounds like it kicks in between 1200- 1500 rpm. If I start the E 350 van, it automatically idles up in park, and you can hear the valve opening and closing while its in park (if i step on the brake it goes down to normal idle). Howcome my 1997 7.3 doesn't automatically idle up like the 2000 7.3? Are both working right, just a change they made in the 1999+ 7.3's?
