08 Center Console.. Happy dance...
I just snagged an 08 Center Console in Gray for $100 bucks off Ebay.. It was a bid auction and nobody offered over $100.. I was shocked.. More so nobody was interested.. I set my max bid to $160 and figured it'd jump that quick..
Anyways it was pulled for an Ambulance conversion, its loaded minus the cup holders in the back.. Which is cool, I got the ones in the center console on the back seats.. Didn't need em, they just get in the way of me putting things on the floor..

I have done this in my 04 XLT CC.
Pros: Fits perfect (Had the 40,20,40). Huge interior capacity. Nice flat rubberized lid. Looks great (although the greys do not match; the console is 'grey' but it has a very tan tint to it). It is armrest high so the lack of fold-down armrests on my seats do not matter. The cupholder location is more natural than the 'seat/console' or dash one.
Cons: It will leave some 'holes' in that carpet that were covered my the center seat bolt downs. You may want to paint the chrome ring around the cupholder; it stands out in the otherwise chrome-free interior and it will reflect light up into your eyes. You will collect too much junk in it.
If you get one make sure you get the install brackets with it. I put the brackets in first then set the console on top. I picked up power for the power point from the passenger seat harness.

OK guys, let me ask this then...
If you can put the full center console in a truck that was 40/20/40, can you go the other way and convert a full console truck to one with the bench seat? From what I understand the KR and HD trucks only come with the console. Now I just don't like it but wouldn't mind having a KR with the regular seat. Could just the console be swapped out or would the driver and passenger seats have to be swapped out too?

I kinda want to go the Harley way and put the front and rear captain chairs with consoles in mine. From what I was told buy a Ford dealer in Navada that you can't get a complete seat. Or a complete console. They sell only the parts. Thought it was strange. So I am hoping when I get home to pull out the parts book and look to see if I still could use some of the parts from my original seat.

Gauges are in.. Cb is old school (reason I sold mine off).. Air compress is going somewhere else.. Snap-on, pfft screw that company.. Nuclear Reactor is on the back wall.. Wanna go back in time? We can see Felix as a lil pup runnin round the pasture! HAHahhaha :-P

If you did buy a new truck then I'd be willing to do the console to seat swap with you. But keep in mind that the center seet will be cloth not leather. I don't think Ford offers a leather 40-20-40 bench.
