Is anyone making cams set up for 514+ or is it a custom grind type of deal?
Since the cams for 460 wouldnt work all that well. Im building a 532 for my 72 mach 1, It will mostly be a weekend warrior. Im planning on around 700hp and would like to keep the rpms under 7500. Im using scat crank and forged hbeam rods. I have 4.11's in the rear and a 30'' tire. I am also going to use a 3000 stall. I am definately going with a roller cam, and the Jon Kaase p51 heads. Thanks for any input
my motor guy just ordered a cam for my 514 with a 1150 carb and 13-1 pistons it's a 730 lift so we will be pushing it to around 7000 on the top end. we are looking at around 750hp
I would get the heads flow tested it's the best way to find out were the heads work best as some will drop off if the valves open to much plus you don't want to hit a piston.
I was told this is a great cam for a 460 base motor lunati 64034 and it looks like what you want.

Aww the Kaase P51 heads Great choice..I'll be running those on my 575"er Next year.. As far as a Cam goes....Talk too Lem Evans at BFEvans Ford in Owensboro KY... He owns a Ford dealership and also Co-Owner of Evans Racing Engines...and between him and Charlie there (that does the top end flow work) there some of the best 460 Stroker guys around... There knowlege is unsurpassed on these big motor's..
I think Rob, MonsterBaby will verify just what I said.... Good Luck, and if you talk to Lem, tell him RapidRuss send ya....
