Cai

Which CAI do ya'll like the best for the 5.4L? What kind of MPG gain do you see with one? I was looking to buy the Volant.

the Volant rocks...I've had mine for 1 yr and it's amazing how it sounds and the dramatically increased throttle response

MPG didn't go up or down

where did you hear that? the Volant is #1 or #2 in terms of quality and effect for the F-150

The Air Raid and AEM CAI's are also pretty good, but I believe you need a tuner to adjust your A/F ratio to prevent a CEL.

I run the AirAid and Have been really happy with it. I put it on right after I did the MagnaFlow SIDO exhaust. AirAid redesigned the intake tube about a year or more ago to stop the A/F from throwing a code. I got the code tylus was refering to and when I called AirAid they told me that they redesigned it and would send me another which they did and it worked great. I didn't get my tuner until about 6 months later but I bought it just because I wanted the added power not to fix anything about my CAI.

I also agree with Tylus in that I have NEVER heard Volant was a low end CAI as a matter of fact if I was going to do it all over again I would buy the Volant over all others.

I got the volant on mine also and love the thing. The only bad thing I heard about Volant is when the 2004's first came out the volant intakes would lean them out. That was fixed a sort time after and now they are awesome.

yep...never had a CEL on my truck

OBXRedneck is right...all of the CAI's were throwing CEL's when the trucks first debutted. they've also all pretty much fixed themselves as well
