Egr ???

OK I am tired of the rough start with the agg street tune so I planned on removing the tune altogether and run stock for the cold months. My problem is I have a new up-pipe with egr block. I placed the box 50hp tune in cause I figure it will throw a code when the egr see's no flow across it. Waiting on Matt and Evan to figure out the egr flow problem with mileage and get a new economy tune then. What has everone else done for these issue's? I guess I will get a cord out to plug it in this winter and am looking into getting a remote start to boot.

Scott, are you getting the rough start only with that tune, or is it happening stock also?

Most rough starts are due to injector stiction; of which the tune will not affect. Try removing the tune and seeing if it does or doesn't continue the problem. If it does, please let us know; there are injection timing modifications I can make to improve cold starting.

OK Matt,
Put the box economy tow tune in(50hp) and cold start is fine. I have not put back to stock because I am afraid it will screw with me since the egr is blocked?????????!!!!! What should I do now?

First, take a breath You aren't going to harm the truck any regardless of what you do. Worst possible scenario you will set some harmless codes.

If the cold start is fine without that tune in it, please contact us. The tune will need some injection timing and pressure changes to prevent the cold idle miss (not the first time I've run across this). We will get it straight
