Block Heater
Anyone have a block heater on your Ranger?
My 3.0L Flex Fuel has one on it. I need to know how long to set the timer for to have it warm when I leave in the morning. How many hours do you set yours for? Will the heat be warm once it's been plugged in.

If you had it turn on an hour or two before you had to leave it will be warm enough to move your temp gauge and provide heat fairly quick once you start it. Used to have the block heater on my 7.3 come on 2 hours before I had to leave, worked great. I don"t worry about it on the ranger, it heats up pretty quick on it's own.
