what's this sensor for?
I was just looking around under the hood and found these vacuum lines someone had plugged off and I found the sensor where they should be plugged in. What is the sensor and why would anyone plug off the vacuum?

That is your hub lock solenoid. It used for the vacuum hubs. If someone replaced the OEM hubs with a set of manual hubs then there is no need for the vaccuum and they just plugged it there.
this is what i am thinking as well
i got auto hubs and had to change out that soleniod about a month ago cause my 4x4 stopped working
