Successful Intake Install

I installed my K+N intake today. It was really easy and i love the sound and power increase. I would definatly reccommend the K+N kit to someone.

I have a 5.4L gasser. Ive read the same about diesels. You should be careful because i think the air to fuel ratio is very touch on diesels

Not sure on that one, we've got an '03 SD with a setup that was installed over 144,000 miles ago. No problems to report.

How can you judge how well it works in a day or 2? You say you installed in on the 16th and you've noticed an increase in power and MPG already?

I have a 04 F350 5.4 (which has a K&N filter) not a cold air kit, but have no idea if it's better then a stock filter.

Well im defiantly not getting better mpg just because i get on it to hear it. But i can feel the difference in power. It pulls alot harder when i get on it

I'd love to think that your $200 added something other than noise, but too many people have dyno'd these intakes and filters and shown them to do pretty much nothing. The 150 forum has lots of guys running them and a few that actually ran the trucks on a dyno. The proof is in the numbers.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

That's what matters...they do sound badass...Just don't overclean or over oil that filter.

its funny how several say that there isnt any difference because i do alot of highway driving to and from work and have noticed a increase in the mpg.. and the truck does also pull alot harder from a dead stop... i didnt get a k&n intake though i have the airaid system.. and it does sound awsome
