Power Chip
I have a 2002 F-150 Screw. In two weeks I'll have a 5" lift on with 315/75/R16 If I add a power chip, will the larger tires affect it at all? I read a little bit about it and thought that something might have to be adjusted. Can anyone help me out?

From what I've heard these trucks read the speed off the rear axels electronically. The electronics are setup for stock tire sizes and can compensate for rear gear changes but not if you change the tire size, like taller tires. Your speedometer readings would be inaccurate slightly. But you can order a chip from different chip makers that is programmed for this situation, tell them your new tire size and you should be able to get a chip that corrects the speedo readings.
