yet another variation on upgraded GPR

Ok was reading on Guzzles upgraded GPR and of coarse had gone up to napa and the one our trucks calls for lists at $85, I couldn't remember while there what the other number guys were using was but found it to be the 109 lists for like 28. any case was looking around and trying to find what the rating on that was, and NAPA doesn't list it but what I did find was another relay that lists for $55 (I got it for $47) and is a continuous duty relay, rated at 200amp continuous duty rated and fits in as easy as the 109 only being a half inch taller with the same base so bolts right in.
Napa part number is ST36

I know that one that guzzle came up with is serious and a good setup but sometimes you need something now and these should be available locally (meaning you can have it NOW) and they are a direct bolt in no modification needed replacement for the GPR109 only almost 2.5 times heavier duty from what we could tell.

outstanding, the one guzzle uses is 200 amp, but the st36 sounds like it is more reasonable in size

yeah this one is also 200amp rated (I beleive the one guzzle uses does have a higher surge rating though)
here is a comparison pic between the factory original and the st36

And here it is installed in the truck

I just tried to find the part on NAPA online...can't find it. Is there more to the part number than ST36?

I can't get it to come up online either but I am looking at the box right now and it states ST36 it's also what was in the book and is printed on my reciept. I would call NAPA in the morning and see if they can get it to come up.

edit to add it's a echlin part also looking now to see if I can find it

That was my plan. It's sometimes easier to take a printout into the store though...in case they can't find it.

The base on the ST-36 looks as if it's 90* off from the stock GPR, is it?

It's 90 degrees from stock but the same as the early model 7.3s used aka gpr109
