I know a majority don't calculate it, but for those who do, please post it up.
I am looking at going to a '77 with the 351m w/ the 4 speed manual and am interested to see what i could possibly get out of it, and to see what people with other setups are averaging.
My current truck is a 77 f150 with the 300 straight six and 3 speed auto, and i average 12 mpg 50/50.
I don't do any extended around town driving so I don't know just how bad the city mpg is but as for hwy I can squeeze 12 out of both trucks provided I keep it at 55 mph. Any speed over that and the milage plummets.

78 F-250 SuperCab 4x4 4.10 gears, 30" (actual diameter) tires, auto. I have a freshened up 400 with a 2bbl, stock exhaust and Comp Cams XE256 cam, straight up timing and new lifters. I just got it on the road last weekend and I got about 150 miles out of the first tank all highway 60-65...thats about 7.5 mpg OUCH! She runs 3000 rpm at 62 mph. I need to mess with it some more to see if I cant squeeze out at least 10 mpg. Im thinkin maybe some better flowing exhaust and better carburation.
IN a 1977 F250 460 4x4 with 4.10 gears and 33 in tires i get 8-9 . oh by the way truck wieghs 7000 empty only me in it. hahaha guess if your going to build it you should make it last
