i would say just start with the basics check the wire from the sensor to the computer and change the fluid, remember to use friction modifier (limited slip fluid) if you have a limited slip differential, the best way to do it in a ford as far as i can tell is add about a quarter what Ford recommends then keep adding based on if the tires chirp when you turn, as in one tire hops and can't turn you will probably end up needing about half of what ford recommends

I would think it is just a coincidence since the sensor reads from the differential. Make sure to clean around the opening before AND after you remove the sensor so that anything on the outside doesn't fall inside where it doesn't belong.

i don't see how, im not 100% but the only possible sensor i can see being involed is the brake or abs light sensor. my guess would be that its coinsedense but theres alot of computer on these trucks.

When you replaced the rear brake pads did you just push the caliper pistons in forcing the brake fluid back up to the master cylinder? This is not a good thing to do as it could have some negitive effect on the abs unit its self. I have seen this happen before. If the ABS light is on it just means that the ABS system is diabled and you should have regular type braking just like a truck that never had ABS before. Good luck and have a qualifide shop diag. it for you.

u could have forced rust into the abs unit...possibly cycling the abs unit with a computer could fix this if that is how these trucks work... i think it is more related to forcing the fluid back than changing the brakes had anything to do with it if the sensors were changed

Could have forced sediments in the brake fluid back up into the ABS unit and stuck one or more of the little motors in it. Try bleeding the rear brakes sevral times as this might unstick the ABS unit. Good luck and remember to use good brake fluid from a sealed container.
