Voltage regulator problems

Im having problems with the electrical system in my truck. I have a voltage regulator with a fuse on the outside. Not the typical enclosed style. What has been happening is that when i run the heater radio lights and wind shield wiper i blow the fuse. Now i know that this is a lot but still i don;t think it should blow the fuse. I was running a 7.5 amp fuse i didn't knwo if this was big enough. I tried the enclosed style regulator but it isn't working. what should i do

That is an older system ....what truck ?

IIRC, you could adjust that VR for output.

its in a 1977 F250. what the voltage regulator came on .it was on their when i go it. how do i adjust the voltage or what should i do

Have you done any charging system tests with a meter ?

Whjat happens when you rev the engine to 1000 rpm and turn those options on ?

The blue cover comes off to adjust the thing.
