offy vs clifford

which one will work better for cold winter use
planning to use efi man with factory style down tube and unvesal cat
on rebuilt motor

Either one will work. The Clifford with the water heat arrangement built in or the Offy which water heat to it can be simply arranged. You are gonna need heat to the manifold or a water heated carb spacer in WI.

think I will go with clifford the extra 10 spot seems more than worth the hassel
of tring to simply arrange something

i have the offy with a 400 carter and hooker header and it works great. it's also for sale - cheap!

I think the Clifford probably distributes heat through the manifold better than the Offy.

If you are going to rebuild, get a mild port/polish (port match with manifolds) on the head along with a 3 angle valve job while you are at it to get the best from your induction and exhaust changes. The stock 240/300 head just doesn't flow very well.
