6637 Clone??
I was in my local Carquest store and inquired about a 6637. They looked it up and said they had a direct cross match to one of their filters made by Wix. Have any of you heard if these filters are as good as the Napa Gold's? The price they wanted was steep as well....$50 some dollars plus tax! I mean, I know there would be shipping and possibly brokerage fees to ship from the States, hut that seems like gouging to me....

Wix filters are actually made in my county (Gaston County, NC) - I buy them to support my local economy - I've used Wix filters (air and oil) and I've always been satisfied with thier performance.
I found them on Fleet Filters for $27.33

Hey Smokie, look into a Napa store (used to be UAP) they found me my 6637 filter in their books as a 46637 I seem to recall.... anyway it is on their file and it does cost short of 50 bucks but it works well and it fits perfectly if you don't use the pipe extension thingie and just jam it onto the intake tube like Kwik does.

I have the wix on my pickup and a carquest on my X, both are 6637s
btw I dont know if the 02s have a slightly larger intake hose, but niether one of my filters needed the little pipe ext. just a thought.

Thanx guys, I'm sure it's probably the same filter manufactured by Wix and sold to different vendors. I'm going to see how much shipping is from Fleet Filters and if they can ship USPS...
