Lumbar support

Can someone post a picture or give me an idea of how the lumbar adjustment wheel works on the seats? I heard a snap on mine and the wheel just turns now and does nothing. I want to know if I have to strip the seat down to fix it. This is the drivers seat in a 98 F150 Lariat.

Thanks

The wheel is attached to a cable that connects to a metal sheet in the seat back and causes that to either flex or straighten. I bought a leather upholstery kit and fixed mine when I recovered the seat, but you might be able to get to it if you have the hard plastic cover on the seat back.
