Question heater core looping?

so my heater cores leaking is what i have gathered, how do i go about bypassing or looping it, i dont really need my heater i live in fl, but i am scared to drive my truck knowingly that its leaking coolant, i plan to fix it when i can afford to but for now i just to need to drive it, thanx john

Find the two hoses that connect to the core on the passenger side firewall and cut both of them. Any auto parts store will have a piece of plastic hose approx 3 inches long, just loop the ends you cut together using this piece of pipe and two hose clamps. Just be aware that as long as its like this you will not be able to use the heater, and when you do change the core you will have to use hose clamps to connect it instead of the quick connects that came from the factory. I did this and havent had a problem in the 2-3 years since I changed the core out.

ok thanks, is this done under the dash or under the hood, i am having problems locating the right hoses.
