Tranny Question

Ok this question is for the dp tuner guys. mainly for guys without a valve body and a stock tranny. When u have it turned it up 100 race or anything like that will the tranny shift solid under a load or does it slip bad? I have a edge evo II and i know they aren't the best programmer but my tranny feels solid in stock and like tow mode under a load but in the 100 hp setting it almost acts like the tranny doesn't wanna shift solid under a load. I was just curious if the dp helped a lot with that shifting problem. thanks guys.

Tim

I had just the Sonnax valve/spring kit in my stock trans for a while running the DP-Tuner. It helped with shifts, but eventually the T/C started quitting on me. The T/C is the major weak link in the trans. Baby the trans and it will last longer, but do too many boosted launches when you have a lot more power and it will live a short life. Mine lasted 90K miles, and I was surprised it went that long as hard as I was on it.

thanks, I am easy on it. Last night was the first time i have ever just stayed in the throttle from a dead stop shifting through the gears. I have had the truck about a year now. I was just wondering. I had heard the tc was a weak link.

I know i heard john woods puts a 6.4 or a 6.0 tc in his trannies behind the 7.3. Will those tc's just bolt right up or does he make adapter plates for it to fit?

Thanks.
