This morning I noticed while driving to work the red light on the dash for the brakes came on. 91, 2wd 3.0L 5 spd. Car still brakes just fine.
I got home and inspected everything and didn't find anything out of order. When I restarted the truck, the light was off. I got it to come back on, when I pulled the broken RABS connector off the module. So I epoxied it back into place and light stayed off. On the way home the light came on again. I figured this time to check the little sensor under the resevior. As soon as I pulled the whole thing out (connector not disconnected) it went off.
Does anyone know what the proper name for this sensor is? Mine looks pretty craptacular and might as well just go buy a new one, but I need to know the name of it first, as I don't really see it listed. Thanks
I have a 93 that does the same thing. Last time I topped the reservoir off a little fuller (looked full) and it hasn't happened since. I'm sure it will be on now tomorrow. lol

That's been my experience too with my '92 3.0L except my anti-lock module under the truck leaks a little and often I have to top off the brake fluid reservoir, but the light does come on when it needs fluid and sometimes intermittently like you described.
