I know everyone has an opinion of a good brand of batteries. Dealer says mine are weak (original 2003 F350 6.0). He only wants $319 for a set (lol). What is your favorite brand? I highly value everyone's opinion. Thanks.

$319 is rediculous! I have always bought Interstate. Stay away from Walmart batteries.
$319 is more than ridiculous it's rape. I got two 1000amp's from Autozone--3yr total replacement, 8yr prorate for $85+tax each. They're not that hard to change.
I wanted the optima's but at more than twice the price and no better guarantee than what they were I couldn't justify them. I have no kick A stereo or aftermarket electronics to run anyway : (
Optima Red top's are rumored to be the best of the best, but that's just what I hear... I'm still running stock.
Are you speaking of the Optima dry cells? If so stay away from those. Went through two of those in my 99 gasser, What a waste of money. Good thing they have a warranty, but I dont trust them for nothing. Buddy had the same issue, Wouldnt keep a charge after about 2 months of steady use.
Most batteries from auto parts stores are going to come with about a 2 year replacement warranty, some full replacement, some pro-rated. I just bought 2 batteries from Auto Zone for 160 ish. I believe they are 850 cold cranking amps.
I've always used Interstate batteries. Two year full replacement warranty and then pro-rated out to 8 years, although you're really pushing your luck in a diesel after about 5 years. I've never had a bad one.
optima batteries are top notch. i've used them in several applications. they are not "dry" cell as someone stated earlier. they are gel cell. you'll be looking at somewhere around $170 each for those. outside of gel cell, the only standard battery i truely believe in is interstate.
No offense, never had any luck with "die hards" If they made the warranty I was lucky but usually failed when they cost me the most. Couldn't even make it in a 4 cylinder pinto!!
Installed 2 yellow top Optimas in my 04 2 years ago. When we go to the river we sleep in our camper shell so we have the cd player and camper lights going till late. Never any problem. What's a couple more $$ to have the best and not worry?
Other than your vehicle not starting, how do you know when it is time to get new batteries?
I have an 04, bought in Oct 03, so it is 4 years old. It seems like it takes a little longer to crank now.
