I pretty sure that exhaust cutouts are illegal....just don`t get caught I suppose could work.
What have you found out about that Nathan?
Personally I like the way both the 7.3 and the 6.0 sound! The 92 has a muffler that`s on it`s way so it sounds even cooler, not loud till it`s walked on and even then it still isn`t bad enough to get a ticket with yet.
yeah those cut-outs could be an interesting legal fight. as for it just being loud, we know what they can't do about that... i really like the 7.3-6.0 sounds too. wish i heard them every morning...
I like the sounds of my PSD in the morning, hell I even enjoy when the high idle kicks on and it kinda sounds like a jet taking off!
I do however like the older diesels sound though. To me they sound like a diesel should.
My dads aftermarket turboed 1991 7.3 sounds great straight piped!
Before I bought this 92 F250/7.3-4X4 I used to see used turbo`s for these trucks for sale once in a while. Now that I have one I never see one....
I don`t know if I would bother with the cost of even a used one and the install unless I could find out more of what`s involved.
I`m more concerned about getting a rebuilt injector pump/rebuilt injectors at the moment and possibly a glow plug relay.
Not bad, just seems to miss under load, other wise it starts and runs fine, I might as well get it tuned up to avoid problems later on. At 16.5 mpg with some idling I`m happy mileage wise.
[Dustin1690-quote Wow I think I would be happy with that mileage too. I`m assuming that's highway.]
Not all highway driving, a lot of city driving in there as well so I`m not complaining.
