HELLO everybody, im new here and dont really know how this whole thing works i really hope im doing this right. if not please tell me so i dont do it again,

any ways i found this place while looking for and answer (which i never found) to a question, i have a 1986 f-150 4x4 that i recently bought with a cracked block so i pulled the whole bottom end out of a 1982 f-150 and am rebuilding for that truck (the machine work is being done as we speek) but the parts truck (1982) was a stick and the good truck (1986) is a automatic and the wholes where you bolt the flex plate to the crank dont line up by putting the 1986 flexplate on the 1982 crank i dont know if i have to find a flexplate from a 1982 300 6cyl or if its a stick to auto trans problem or if i could get a flexplate from a 1981-1982 302 and it would be the same, (im learing with the whole ford thing i have run dodges and chevys and had bad luck so im trying my luck at fords now) any ways i stumbled upon this web sight and thought you guys would be able to help me.
