Removing heater control cluster?
Allright, i need to get my heater/A/C control unit out of the dashboard. Thing is, it looks like it's installed from the back and for the life of me I can't tell how it comes out. Seems like no matter which way i try to go something is in the way.
Is there an easy way to it, or does the whole dash body have to come loose?

Its not that tough. First, remove the ashtray assembly..three phillips head screws and one small bolt. Then take the ***** off the heater box. They have little spring clips behind them...use a small screwdriver on the clip and just slide the whole **** forward. They will slide right off. They need to come off some the rods clear the dash.
Next, unscrew the four screws holding the control box in place. Then, on the right side in the back of the control box you'll find a light mount...about 4 inches up the wire from the mount you'll find a plug. Disconnect the light there.
Now, push the assembly in while pushing the back of the control box up so it sits at an angle. Then push the left side back and down so the controls clear the dash and come out the bottom...once the left side is clear rock the right side back and then you'll be able to lower that side too. Once you have the control box clear of the dash you'll be able to disconnect all cables, wires, and vacuum lines.
