slow cranking when hot
I put a new starter on last week and ever since, about half of the time, it will barely turn over on a hot start. Something's getting too hot, but it never did this before. I also replaced the negative battery cable and it's a couple inches long. I plan on fixing that soon anyway, but that wouldn't be the cause?

it is your starter. new does not always mean good. try swapping it for one with more heat insulation. theese 300's have the exhast running too close too the starters. which causes this problem

Thanks guys, I figured it was the starter, but I'd only heard of that happening to guys with headers. The connections and timing are fine, so I guess I'll have to do something about the starter.
