Its not worth it...... Fuel mileage is better w/o the DPF but lost warranty and the cost of a tuner to bring you outta regen mode far out weigh the original cost of fuel

The cost is depending on how many miles you put on a year. I've had my F350 2 months now and i'm at 30k miles already. 30,000/9 miles to the gallon = 3,333 gallons x 3.25 (average per gallon of diesel) = $10,833 spent in the last 2 months
Please keep in mind I tow a 48 foot enclosed trailer with cars in it.
Custom tunes arent available from those who are worth buying from. The tuner itself is about $1000. KEM performance has a DPF delete tune out I believe. The mileage gain and money saved at the pump wont even compare to the money you spend at the dealer for powertrain repairs because you lost your warranty. My thought is that if you couldn't afford the fuel, why'd you buy the truck?

I don't plan to remove my DPF but, if you wan't the tune buy it and if you have problems, you pay to have it fixed. I would not have bought this truck if I could not afford repairs, not that I plan to have any but warrantys don't last forever.
Thanks for the advice though!

HOLY S@*T, That is a lot of miles. Ford should pay you for product testing.

So in 60 days, you've drove over 8 hours/day every single day of the week....or more if you took a break here or there? It must be a business, and if I remember correctly, the going rate is about a $1/mile if you're hauling something.....$30,000 in 2 months (-) $6,000 for fuel, truck payment, and ins. not too shabby if you ask me.
