 where did you get the 6k for fuel? I just added it up for you it is well over 10k so far. Some places diesel is at 3.71 a gallon

My thought is that if you couldn't afford the fuel, why'd you buy the truck?

This I don't understand,,,,Brand spankin new trucks, issues with them are generally recalls or TSB,,reflashes...etc. What repairs are you going to pay for if the call in is on FORDS SIDE? If your stupid enough to tune it crazy then I don't see whay you are concerened about the trucks warranty at all.

Things break when trucks start throwin down 120 addtional hp to the wheels my friend.... and I dont know how the recalls work as far as anytime or labor being charged under warranty but I know that if one little air cleaner clamp breaks for no reason and your powertrain has been voided, your gonna pay for it, and most likely pay for it big time. These people wanted the truth so I gave it to them. I bought the truck full well knowing that if I deleted the DPF that there was a good chance I could loose my warranty on it, but I understood the philosphy "pay to play" other people dont and when they start throwin tunes at these trucks and askin them to do thgings that they were not made to do and expect for to pay for their screw ups, well I have a big problem with that but that is a whole nother issue entirely. The DPF delete is not worth the loss of powertrain warranty IMO.

Fair enough - still, I would love to make $9,000/mo profit when subtracting fuel, ins. and truck payment. You may be getting more than $1/mile too, I was being conservative.

In any event, it's a chit load of driving.

Indeed it is. I'm hoping this truck makes it to 500,000 miles. I'll be happy with it then.

Striaght pipping 6.4

For the 6.4 to enter regen it has to see a certian back pressure at the dpfp pressure sensor if some one could figure out how to trick this sensor into reading
corectly without a dpf, the vehicle should never go into regen. some after market
manufactures did this with the cat monitors on gas rigs so when you take the cat out the engine light will not come on.

Soon some one will figure this out and there will be no need to buy a $1000 TUNER.

THIS IS AN OVER ENGINEERED NIGHT MARE MORE SPECIAL TOOLS AND TORQUE SEQUENCES THAN ANY DIESEL SHOULD EVER NEED ( THANK THE FEDS FOR CHANGING EMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS ). FUNNY THING IS THIS MOTOR WILL NOT RUN ON BIO OR IT WILL PLUG DPF. STICK WITH THE 6.0 AND 7.3LAST OF THE NON EMMISSION ENGINES

Some have assumed just that and had all kinds of trouble, its not nearly as simple as you are making it out to be. The short story is there are regenerations based on drive cycles, then the temperature sensors that need to be near ambient temps when key is first turned on and temperatures that need to be reached during the regenerations. For the most part the back pressure sensor tells the computer if the back pressure still matches the profile when the truck was new and if the back pressure is out of wack after a regeneration.

dpf pressure sensor is different from the ep sensor and I agree that at key up there would need to be some way to change the reading also probably wouldn't work correctly for rigs that don't get driven like you stole it because they would never reach passive regen (the exhaust would not get hot enough to satisfy the ECM ) as far as drive cyle regen wasn't aware that this was programmed in

The 6.4l PCM also keeps track of how many regens have happened over the life of the truck. So when you reinstall your dpf and remove your custom tune when you have problems, the dealer will know something is fishy when the lifetime regen count is lower then expected.
