2002 f250 7.3 crew cab.
I get a door open indicator on the dash, obviously don't have a door open. All the door contacts seem clean and functional. I had to remove the cab lights to keep the batteries up.
Where do I start the search to cure this light?
Will such an item throw a code that I can read with my superchips scanner?
I know no lecture I've been reading long enough to know the superchips is junk compared to DP.
My wifes old 2000 explorer had that same problem it was the sensor in the door I sprayed some WD40 down the latch and it stop and I never had any more problems from it I went ahead and sprayed the other doors after I seen it actually worked. A ford tech told her it would work I laugh but did it anyway well it worked.

I use my superchip to read codes, rest of the time it is used to hold my papers down.
Thanks Tracy.
Yeah Rick I am using the superchip as a paperweight also. But I am afraid to buy a Dp due to the fact then I will need more tires more oil more more I have always been taught to fear PMS of anykind.

Don't just get the chip without being ready to monitor your trucks vitals. You will need intake, exhaust, gauges, OBA, then DP-TUNER and BTS-VB.
PMS will cost you lots of money, but look all the money you are saving doing the repairs yourself. I installed all of the mods in my sig myself, saved tons of $$$$$.
I've got the intake, gauges, and exhaust covered, those mods were done before I bought it used.
the over boost, I would like to do, and I have no idea what BTS-VB is.
I've been lurking here reading for about 2 months and have caught onto some lingo but not all. Heck it took me 3 weeks to figure out what hpop meant.
BTS (BRIANS TRUCK SHOP) VB (VALVE BODY). Will help with the shifting and will keep your trans from heating up as much. Order the dp and vb at the same time, Jody will tune the chip for the vb and Brian will tune the vb for the chip. Both are easy install.
The OBA can be bought with the chip at DP-TUNER. If you have been reading any post on the DP then you know how much people on here like that chip. It is really powerful.
Sounds like you have it fixed but I'll chime in anyway.
The doorlight switch is in the door itself right next to the latch I had this problem on 2 trucks. WD-40 alone worked for me for about a week then it came back.
What I ended up doing is getting some electrical parts cleaner that is safe for plastic then sprayed the heck out if it until I could close the door with no light in then I went for a the WD-40 just a little bit not loaded up and this has worked since June with no problems light still works as it should.
Don't know is this was standard but on both of my trucks the interior light WILL NOT stay on the computer shuts it off after around 10 minutes of it being parked unless engine running. Just a fyi in case somehting else is draining your battery.
