backfired!!!!
My 351w backfired the other day, hesitaded, and regained power. I have several things that might clue us in as to what caused it. I put a new trans mod on it with a new line. the line is not a vacuum line but a 3/8's hose. I cleaned the carb with sea foam by dumping it in the carb to clean it up and I think it helped. I have a HEI dist. and the hot wire was not tight on it which I think is the problem. Any ideas???????

Don't worry about it too much. Did it backfire through the carb or missfire through the exhaust? That can happen now and then. Just check the powervalve if it starts running wierd to make sure it isn't bad.
