Nascar

Just watched another car of tomorrow race.
They should just throw a factory body on an Indy car chassis and call it good.
I still think these cars look funny. JMHO. They look so import looking.
Might as well move the engine to the rear and put the drivers in the middle and so on and so forth.

I was pulling for Jeff Gordon to place better, but the two Roush cars did great in the end.
I just don't wan Johnson to win the championship.
Will the Taurus make it to the track again?

well there is always football.

as much as I hate to say it,johnson will be the champion after the last race next weekend. He would have to have something very bad happen to make him lose an 86 point lead which is what he has now. Of course if something does happen to johnson, gordo wins, and that is no better in my book. Only chevy driver in the chase that I wanted to see win the championship was clint boyer, and him only after kennseth and edwards were out of contention. yeah the new car sucks, they might as well just make them run the same drivetrains and call it the IROC series. All brands have to use the same templates,so the only difference in the body is the headlights on the front and the sticker that says what brand the car is. All NASCAR wants us to pay attention to now is the drivers and sponsors on the car,not the car itself. I am just the opposite,I would rather see a ford win, doesn't really matter who is driving. Well, unless gordo is driving, then I am still not sure I could cheer for him I do believe this is my last full year of paying attention to nascar on a weekly basis. I might watch a few select races next year, but it will be nothing like I have been doing the last 15 years or so,watching every week religiously,

NASCAR has "jumped the shark". There's just way too much hype.

I was going to say something but you took the words right out of my mouth and saved me a lot of typing. Thanks

Do you guys ever watch "Back in the Day" when stock cars were stock cars.
I just have lost interest in watching the races lately. with football on and With what seems like hendericks racing winning every weekend.
I went to the brickyard last year and will again. Got to tell ya it was a blast. And the best part was they were not running the COT.

I used to watch the races every week in the late 80s thru mid 90s, I guess when Ford was dominating and had almost 15 cars in the cup series.
I too only watch select races because of lack of interest.
Also the legend class of drivers are all stepping out now. (I hope I do not have to name them). The legend class of owners are all stepping out too.

I would like to watch more off road/CORR racing, but there is too little coverage and I do not have premium cable.
I like All classes of NHRA, just would like to see a Ford in pro stock again.
Thank goodness for FTE!

Khadma, you wouldn't have been a Bill Elliott fan were you? Back in the early 90's, on a superspeedway, if he were on the lead lap somewhere back in the pack with a lap or two left you knew where he was going to be when the checker fell. Right now it seems as though NASCAR is trying to create more celebrity status out of their drivers than the racing aspect of it. I would much rather watch a World of Outlaws Sprintcar race or Latemodels on dirt, than watch a Nextel Cup race. Now that I am venting on this...How in the world can you have "team mates" in the same race? It just ain't racing anymore.

Bill was the man in the days when Nascar raced. Today it is the WWE of racing, it is a joke to me anymore.

Just watch F1 and forget the other stuff.

Grand Prix racing is primarily a high stakes game of international politics and deception, interrupted every few weeks by a motor race.

You're kidding, right? Where I'm originally from F1 is a big thing, but I never liked it mainly because Michael Schumacher never had any competition and it was just too boring to watch him winning all races.

Now situation is little bit better, but not much. There are still races where where a guy who had best time during qualifying would lead the entire race and win. How boring is that?

This year 17 races - only 4 different winners (Raikkonen, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso), all of them from only 2 teams (Ferrari and McLaren Mercedes).

How boring is that? Where is competition?
