I have a wire running across the top of the glove box (underneath the dash) that I pulled out on accident. The wire goes from a bundle that goes torwads the drivers side, and these two go torwads the passenger side. It is one green wire and one black wire with a connection on the end that has two prongs. I couldnt find any wiring diagrams so maby you guys can help thanks.
its a 1981 f250 351m 4 speed reg cab long bed. Its the only wire that goes all the way across the glove box torwads the passenger side. I need to make a correction, the green wire has two yellow stripes, and the other wire is sold black. The truck has aftermarket stereo speakers so could this wire goto the old factory ones?
The lightgreen/yellow is the courtesy lamp circuit. The other wire should be black/lightblue. These wires go to the door switches to turn the courtesy lamps on.
The same circuit with a lightgreen/yellow and a black, feeds the glove box light.
It also feeds the cigar lighter, and the map lights, and the LED clock if you have that option.
I take it that the courtesy light is the dome light? as of now if I turn my headlight **** the dome light wont turn on. It did work the other day though. Where do you think the connection might go then?
