I assume you are talking about the fake wood trim in a Lariat SD? I haven't tried to remove it but a few companies make some really trim that covers it up.
What year truck do you have? I too have wanted to get rid of the factory wood trim in my 07 lariat. I found that I can buy a replacement dash panel from either the Outlaw or Harley edition (for about $250) to get rid of the wood trim on the dash. The panels above the armrest are part of the main door panel and cannot be bought seperately. You have to replace the whole door panel and they run about $120 a piece.
I have also come across www.oemdash.com
This company takes your parts and coats them in whatever pattern you want.
Or there is the stick on kind, but I've paid enough money for my truck I don't really want to go with something that cheap and end up making it look bad.
