Ranger XLT dash trim

I am repainting the inside of my 79 Bronco and was wondering if there is any particular way to remove the glued on dash trim? You know, the wood grain stuff. Thanks!

Are you talking about the insert in the dash bezal? Or the piece around the Glove box?

The ones on and around the glove box. I don't know if I should take a putty knife and go at it or what. I thought maybe Goo Gone or something. Afterwards do I just use tube or spray-on adhesive to put them back on?

Well Its preety tuff stuff that holds the Glove box panel on. Ya might try to heat it up with a blow dryer and try to get it off real easy. As for the other one around the box and air vents The metal one is bolted on from the back. Im not real sure about the plastic ones though. I will have to look tomorrow

well if you dont plan on using it again i would just rip it off because coverlay has aftermarket dash trim and door trim that can be painted. So like if you are custom painting this is the way to go. Othewise you are gonna have to either melt it off slowly or remove retaining clips and other junk
