F-600 Identfication
I am trying to Identify my truck. The VIN decoder comes up with erroneous info. I believe it is a 1965 F-600
VIN 1FTDFI5Y7PLA00932
Also, Is there an adapter to change the Oil Filter from a element style to a spin on. I am not sure what size my V-8 is.

That's a 17 digit VIN, only used 1981 and later, so it's not a 1965.
The VIN's 5th, 6th and 7th digits are F15 = F150
8th digit is the engine code: Y = 300 I-6
10th digit in the VIN is the year code: P = 1993.
What is the VIN on the trucks registration?
Prior to 1981, truck VIN's are 11 digits.
Sample 1965 VIN: F60CR580001 / F60 = F600
1964/1980 = Look on the left door face near the latch for the Warranty (VIN) Plate.
Yes, there's a kit to change from a cartridge filter to a spin on...but first we gotta figure out what the heck you have.

F95369 = 1969
If the 330 engine is still in this truck, the only filter it used was the spin on. The 361 and 391's used the cartridge filter. There no spin on adapter made for the 361/391's that's listed in the parts catalog. Mebbe NAPA sells one.

It is definitly a cartridge. Someone tried to move the truck with a forklift and damaged the canister and bolt. I am having difficulty finding those parts.
Any tips on identifying the engine?
I have filed for a abandoned title. The report calls the truck an F 22 ?

I did some more digging, the engine code D refers to a 330 H/D engine which uses the cartridge filter, not the spin on.
The 330 H/D, 361 & 391 all use the same cartridge filter: Motorcraft FL-20.

I thought you had a parts catalog? Now I gotta look through 3 parts catalogs to run down that fracata cannister.
You don't just go the the basic number (I wish), but ya gotta ta weed through dozens of engine charts.
