I gutted my cat yesterday and after seeing what the exhaust had to push through, I am sorry I did not do it sooner. Everything sounded the same when finished, but I truly believe the seat of my pants felt more power and quicker turbo response. It only took me an hour. Anyone running stock exhaust ought to make that mod!
I can't wait to see what happens when I do the 6637 mod next weekend.
replace the downpipe and hold on!
you wont notice too much of a difference in performance with the 6637 unless your air filter is plugged. but you will hear the turbo sing

I already installed the downpipe, but did not see a lot of difference, probably because it was restricted at the cat.
You guys are addictive. I found this forum by accident and Coonhunter helped me with a MAP problem. I intended to buy this truck, not do anything to it, and maybe run some wvo through it. Now I have installed the downpipe, gutted the cat, and intend to eventually buy a DP tuner, and the stuff to do the 6637 mod is ordered. Once I get that stuff out of the way, I will fix the speed control and just get busy putting some miles on it.
You guys were right on another issue: I am normally a slow driver, especially since fuel is so high, but with each mod my foot gets heavier!
