Steering Wheel Suggestions

I am new to this site. I need a F-100 guru's help. I want a smaller diameter steering wheel, for my 55 f-100. Does anyone know of an aftermarket stock appearing steering wheel with a 15" diameter? I want to keep my stock column. My stock I mean any Ford steering wheel. I know there are smaller wheels for the "others" (mid-fifties chevys). If there is not, are there any steering wheels that would fit the stock column without an adapter? My steering wheel is high enough.

I'm in the same frame of mine; looking to see if cutting down stock steering wheel would be cost effective. After market come close but stock look is what I'm after.

There is a post from bobs49 of a mod shop that does these. I checked into a site in Australia but $ 600.00 a little steep for my "budget".

You are going to need an adapter for most any aftermarket wheel on the stock column, AFAIK there are no direct bolt ons in a smaller diameter. You could switch to a 56 box and column which is shorter than your 55. Ford shortened the column in 56 to allow for the "new" deeper dish safety wheel. Unless you are going to convert your truck to power steering, a smaller diameter wheel will give you a better upper body workout than an exercise machine, but it's a good way to assure that no female will ever want to drive your truck.
