94 F150 electrical problem
I bought my 94 F150 a few months ago and it came with some electrical issues. I got the horn, cruise control to work by replacing the clock spring and ignition.
However, i still have a problem with the battery going dead from leaving the radio on. When the ignition is turned off and key removed, the radio and power windows will continue to run until the battery finally dies. I've checked the fuses under the hood and dash. I've also checked to see that the radio is wired correctly (12V constant vrs switched). Can anyone help??
I have noticed that if i remove the radio faceplate it prevents the battery from dying. I would like to fix it if possible. Thanks all and glad to be here.

The radio and the windows should not operate with the ignition switch off. You could have a switch alignment problem. It is mounted on the steering column under the dash. It is actuated by a shaft that comes down from the key assy. I don't have access to diagrams/alignment procedure. Maybe someone can help here.
If that's not the issue then you have a misswire somewhere in the wiring for that circuit. I can't imagine someone messing with that....but you never know.
