The look on those freekin yuppies faces shami'ing there Mercededs/BMWs/Lexus/Cadillac SUVs when I pulled into the car wash with that FE in the bed of the truck already sprayed down with engine cleaner!!!
Sweet!!!! I love those Merc lightning bolt VC's. Nice score Robert. And LMAO on the yuppies in theri yup mobiles. They think my Cougar is an 80's Jag of some sort. Been asked twice what year Jag it is.
Well if that aint timing, just had Mom call and say hello.. gave her the schpill and emailed her a link to this thread LMAO!! A well she's a grown woman LMAO!!!!!
LMAO!!!! Russ is Russ, no splaining necessary. Wand wash...funny. It's pretty amazing how far those chunks of grease can fly. What are they gonna say? "You got my car dirty while I was waiting on you!" With no jerks behind me I'll be so considerate as to run my crud down the drain before I'm done.
Brian, the guy I got the engine from is a Hot Rod (old school-chopped/rockibilly) ?? I dunno have a look, anywho he had several cool toys there and sent me some picts as I forgot my camera. I wanted to get images of the Galaxy which was not new news... but then
DAMN!!! pulled the plugs and #2 was rusted up.. froth on the piston.. well for a bill it cant be all bad LOL.. Coated the pistons with PB, filled #2 to the rim... dropped the plugs back in till we can get at it. Popped the covers and saw the same stuff on the # 4/8 rockers(rusty at the back) Hoping that not a sign of filled with water and evaporated several times over the years ? Hopefully sometime this week I can get her apart for a look..
I pulled the dipstick and the oil read a bit high1.5 qts but no sign of milkshake. Sitting it wouldn't mix that easily though. Of course the high reading could also be the huge impression in the base of the oil pan from a little too hard of a drop. Crossed fingers...
A little to hard on the pan...LOL... Bob..if the Oil is fine in the pan then...I wouldnt think the block is gone.......But I could see it being Milk shaked in the heads "IF" it sat with the air cleaner off....and or a filler cap off on the rocker covers....
I'am really hoping it will be a good build for you....I know you've been looking for something cheap to start with for quite some time....So I'am hoping you'll be alright !!
